This is an awesome post! Thanks for the step-by-step information. There is a great book called Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon that talks about lard, butter, coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil and other fats that should take the place of hydrogenated oils in your diet.<br /><br />My wife and I use raw milk and we make our own butter. We typically only use Olive Oil and Coconut Oil for cooking, and where applicable, butter. However, there are many applications for lard.
